City Hall

 Ponca City is home to one of the most beautiful city halls in the United States. Designed by Solomon Andrew Layton (architect of the Oklahoma State Capitol Building), City Hall was first built as the City Auditorium in 1916. In 1922 the east and west wings were added and the building became known as the Civic Center, housing city offices and the police and fire stations.

Standing Bear Powwow

September 28th, 2018 All Day - September 29th, 2018
The Standing Bear Powwow in Ponca City will be held September 28-29, 2018 next to Standing Bear Park. The powwow is hosted by the six north-central tribes of Oklahoma the last Friday and Saturday of September each year. Standing Bear Powwow features inter-tribal dancing, exhibition dancing, contest dancing, tiny tot contests and the crowning of the Standing Bear Princess. Visitors will also find a variety of arts and craft vendors, along with a wide variety of food vendors.

Black and White Party

September 28th, 2018 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
The Black and White party will take place this year at the Ponca City Art Center at 819 E. Central Ave. Cocktails and art viewing begins at 6:30pm and the art auction begins at 8:00pm. Tickets can be purchased at the Ponca City Art Center and all proceeds go to the Ponca City Art Center.
